Incredible Emptiness!

Posted by Jonathan Keener on Monday, March 30, 2009, In : Encouragement

Listening to the Relient K song "give until there is nothing left" I started to reflect on what it means to “give my life" away.  As I thought about all the things that I have given up in my service to Christ I thought quietly to myself, "is there a limit to how much we can give?"

Has anyone outside of Jesus ever given it all away?  Paul was poured out like a drink offering which ultimately led to his eventual execution.  John gave it all and it led him to be dropped into a caldron ...

Livin in the Invisible!

Posted by Jonathan Keener on Monday, March 30, 2009,

My family and I are walking the way of Abraham of old.  If you trust your history and the great men we read of in history then you will find great comfort in studying these men and their lives.  Sometimes we find more comfort in the past then we do in the present or the foreseeable future.  Abraham was blessed because when God said, "Go" he went.  His journey led to no-where-ville, he left what was familiar, a place where he knew the order of things, to a unknown invisible world of follow...

Chills, Spills, and Thrills

Posted by Jonathan Keener on Monday, March 30, 2009, In : Encouragement

In the way of success or failure there seems to be a very pivotal moment when providence frames a path to great success or a near miss of fortune leading to a face flattening failure.  Are you seeking to fulfill a dream?  Are you battling to make your way through the hard places and on the verge of collapse?  Why do some of us find the way of success and some the rocky road of painful regret?

I do not have all the answers.  I do not know why some of you are emotionally broken and destitu...

Build the Impossible!

Posted by Jonathan Keener on Monday, March 30, 2009, In : Encouragement

And David said to his son Solomon, "Be strong and of good courage, and do [it]; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God--my God--[will be] with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.

Do you believe that you are called to reach people for Christ?  Do you hurt inside for people who you know are lost and without hope?  Are you tired of watching your friends fall prey to the lies of the enemy?  Do you w...

Surry Messenger Article 9-2008

Posted by Jonathan Keener on Monday, March 30, 2009, In : Newspaper Articles

This article was written at the end of last summer.  While Sharon and I were wrestling with what to do our ministry, Livin Lattes, at Lola Lane.  It includes much hope and optimism about the future.  Since its writing and as of today our ministry is still waiting upon God for a space to operate Livin Lattes.  Enjoy.

Daniel's Prophesy for TBTS for Jesus

Posted by Jonathan Keener on Monday, March 30, 2009, In : Prophesies

I went and locked myself in my room after I finished eating.

God told me to lay back down again, so I closed my curtains and did so.

This time wasn't a really a symbolic dream as much as the other.

It was in downtown winston on
marshall street where that concrete slab/stage is with the concrete stairs the circulate and the creek is which is behind the presbytarian church is.

It was broad daylight, the Sun was out and there were some minor clouds. The clouds were golden and glorious look...

A Divine Proclamation!

Posted by Jonathan Keener on Thursday, March 26, 2009, In : Prophesies
This morning at 5:30 am the Lord spoke a very clear word to me, so much so, that I had to rise quickly out of bed and just write.  I could have written more but my hand got tired so here is what I received from the Lord from about 5:45 am - 7:15 am:

Background to the word I received:
The first thing I do when I believe the Lord is going to run some new revelation through me is to clean up the area around where I plan to sit and hear the Lord's voice.  While I was scrubbing away on my hands and ...

Destroy this temple and in 3 days I will raise it up again

Posted by Jonathan Keener on Thursday, March 26, 2009, In : Prophesies
I believe that this is the first time I have offered to you who read our blogs, a word from God.  Today I feel constrained to do so because it was a very strong word from the Lord and the understanding of this word will impact all of our lives for years to come.

From yesterday afternoon to this morning I felt a heavenly tug on my heart from the Lord…. seeking my attention.  I wrestled a little in prayer with Him, I also sought Him by worshiping in song, and I took a couple of walks to get th...

Words

Jonathan David Keener There have been times when the Lord has interrupted my day with strong utterances from the Father thru the Spirit. These are words that flow from my heart and personal, and sometimes the Lord will have a word sent to me by another. They are timely words from the Body of Christ and encourage my heart. If we allow the Lord to move on our hearts we will hear collectively the Voice of the Spirit calling us back to the Father. By a deepening in our love of the Savior of all mankind. Shalom, Jonathan
